Ramona Rocha (Laura Patricia Pérez Rocha) is a Mexican painter. KÖNIG GALERIE describes her as an active member of the collective Siete Galería since 2018.
In KÖNIG GALERIE's account, her recurring subject is Catholic saints, particularly virgins, liturgical events and altars, an interest that goes back to her childhood and adolescence. She has more recently painted the employees of convenience stores, having worked in one for almost four years. The gallery writes that while painting this series she developed an interest in simplifying surfaces through glazing and in placing dramatic light on specific elements of a composition.
From April 4 to May 29, 2025, KÖNIG MEXICO CITY showed her paintings alongside those of Fernanda Snowdon in the exhibition LUZ OSCURA, which included her El Ritual (2025). Reviewing it for Whitehot Magazine, Rachel Benham wrote that Rocha's work "could be characterised by its recurrence of figurative anonymity, where bodies are often shapes or blurs."
