In a statement that BADA México, an art fair, published when it presented Juan José Camacho among its artists for 2025, he wrote that in his jungles “todos esos seres” (all those beings) are watching us “con curiosidad y asombro” (with curiosity and wonder), and that the moon is a constant in the work, “aunque no se muestre” (even when it is not shown).

In a text on him for Galería Vórtice, the Mexico City gallery where he exhibits permanently, signed and dated April 26, 2025, Gabriela Jasso writes that “el carácter lúdico y simbólico de sus composiciones detona una interacción visual en la que el espectador se integra como un elemento más dentro de la escena” (the playful and symbolic character of his compositions sets off a visual interaction in which the viewer becomes one more element of the scene).
