In her text for Everything is more than meets the mind, the 2023 exhibition of Dorottya Vékony and Réka Lőrincz at Torula in Győr, Hungary, the show's curator Sonja Teszler called the series a “humorous depiction of three stages of the divine feminine potato figure, from sprouting to dying.” She wrote that the work reflects “on the iconic representations of the female body throughout history and its connection to the notion of fertility, as well as the organic cycle of life and death within which all bodies (human and non-human) are embedded.”

A text on Body To Inhabit, the two artists' 2024 exhibition at VUNU Gallery/Kunsthalle in Košice, Slovakia, signed by Veronika Molnár and published by Art Viewer and OFLUXO, calls the series a memento mori, “reminding viewers of the fleeting nature of beauty and the body, whether human or non-human.”
